ABOUT VYOM

ART HAS THE VISION.

WE BUILD THE STRUCTURE AROUND IT.

ART HAS THE VISION.

WE BUILD THE STRUCTURE AROUND IT.

Vyom Arts Management Venture was created from a gap experienced first-hand.There is no shortage of talent, ideas or artistic ambition in the arts. What is often missing is the professional structure, strategic thinking and sustained support that allow an artistic practice to
grow into a meaningful, sustainable career.

Artists and arts organisations are expected to do far more than create. They manage teams and operations, raise funds, build audiences, pursue opportunities, develop partnerships, promote their work and think about financial sustainability—all while continuing to practise their art. Vyom exists to bridge that gap
We bring thoughtful management and strong professional practices into the arts, working across creative productions, strategic operations and artist development so that artists and organisations have the space to focus on what they do best:

Explore. Create. Transform.

THE MEANING BEHIND VYOM

THE SPACE THAT
HOLDS CREATION TOGETHER.

In Sanskrit, ‘ Vyom ‘ means ‘space’ or ether—the unseen element that holds Agni, Vayu, Bhoomi and Jal within it. It is omnipresent and infinite, yet its presence is experienced through what exists within it. That became a fitting metaphor for the role Vyom wanted to play in the arts. Our work does not exist to overshadow an artist’s voice. It exists around it—creating structure, recognising possibilities, building relationships and managing what needs to happen for the work to move forward. Arts management, therefore, isn’t simply business applied to art. It is about creating space for an artist’s freedom, vision and individuality while strengthening everything that supports it. We are in the scene. You just won’t always see us.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

THINK WITH THE ARTIST
NOT FOR THE ART

We believe an artist deserves a professional partner who is as invested in their journey as they are—but can still look at that journey objectively.Someone who can step outside the immediate moment, see the larger picture, question decisions when necessary, recognise possibilities and bring perspective without imposing an agenda. That is the relationship Vyom seeks to build.Impartial. Fair. Strategic. Deeply invested.
We help create the clarity, structure and opportunities around an artistic practice without interfering with the honesty at its centreBecause whatever changes around the artist, the artist’s will to create with complete honesty should never have to.

FOUNDER STORY

FROM THE STAGE TO THE SYSTEMS
THAT MAKE THE STAGE POSSIBLE.

VYOM BEGAN WITH SHRUTI RANADE'S OWN JOURNEY AS AN ARTIST.

A Bharatanatyam artist for over two decades, Shruti’s journey has been shaped by discipline, practice and purpose—from her Army upbringing and formal training in Bharatanatyam to her experience across performance, teaching and cultural projects.

Being part of the arts ecosystem allowed her to see beyond the stage. While there was no shortage of talent or ambition, artists often lacked the professional structure, strategic thinking and sustained support needed to build meaningful careers.

When her first entrepreneurial venture, Parichay, came to an end during COVID, it became a turning point. It gave Shruti the opportunity to rethink how artists could be better supported and eventually led to the creation of Vyom.

For Shruti, arts management was never a departure from being an artist, but a natural extension of it—bringing together her understanding of artistic practice with the systems, opportunities and relationships that help it grow sustainably.

Today, she works at the intersection of artist, arts manager and ecosystem-builder, helping create better possibilities for artists and the arts around them.

OUR JOURNEY

OUR JOURNEY

BUILDING SLOWLY.
BUILDING MEANINGFULLY.

Vyom Arts Management Venture officially began on 30 March 2024. Since then, its journey has taken it across Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Goa, Chennai and the USA, working with artists, arts organisations, cultural institutions, festivals and creative spaces. Along the way, Vyom has collaborated with organisations and spaces including Bangalore International Centre, NMACC Mumbai, Artisans' Centre Mumbai, Pune International Centre, L.D. Museum Ahmedabad, The Box Pune and Rachana Sansad Mumbai, among others. But for Vyom, progress isn't simply a question of scale.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.

The ambition is to build a trustworthy and credible name in arts management— one that artists can turn to knowing their work, aspirations and long-term interests will be approached with care. Growth is measured by the quality of the work, depth of relationships and value created, rather than how quickly the organisation can become bigger. And as that journey continues, Vyom wants to remain what it set out to be from the beginning: Accessible. Approachable. Grounded. A practice where artists feel heard, where relationships remain personal and where rigour never comes at the expense of care. Doing fewer things well will always mean more than scaling without purpose.
